Facilities and services
The mission of LNBio’s Facilities and Services Division is to promote scientific and technological excellence by providing strategic reference laboratories, supporting CNPEM researchers and the external academic community in innovative projects. This division plays a fundamental role in executing, refining, and developing new technologies, expanding laboratory infrastructure, and encouraging research innovation.
With a new modern equipment complex, it directly supports the Center’s lines of activity. Highlights include laboratories specializing in bioassays, advanced omics and biomolecules, such as the Automated Protein Crystallization Laboratory (ROBOLAB), which collaborate with the X-ray diffraction technique on the Manacá beamline at Sirius, and bioimaging, like the Biological Imaging Laboratory (LIB), which uses advanced technologies in collaboration with Sirius and LNNano. Together, these labs drive cutting-edge discoveries and consolidate an ecosystem of collaborative, open and transformative science.
