Mass Spectrometry

The Laboratory started  operating in continuous mode, in terms of the submission of proposals and analyses in June 2009. One of the characteristics of the Laboratory is that users are provided with technical support in the operation of the mass spectrometers and the data analysis, as well as with training in the area of mass spectrometry/proteomics. Three mass spectrometers coupled with liquid chromatography systems routinely analyze large-scale complex proteomes to discover candidate biomarkers and drug targets, identify binding partners and post-translational modifications, analyze cross-linked complexes to map protein interaction, together with quantitative proteomics approaches.
