The Workshop “Thermodynamic Analysis of Macromolecules in Solution – Learning SEDFIT and SEDPHAT” will be held for the first time in Brazil at The Brazilian Biosciences National Laboratory from 4th to 8th March 2013. The event occurs annually in the National Institute of Health – NIH in Bethesda, USA and has also been hosted in various renowned academic institutes worldwide. This theoretical and practical course will be conducted by the creators of the free software SEDFIT and SEDPHAT. These researchers will provide an introduction into the experimental aspects of analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC), isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), fluorescence and dynamic light scattering (DLS) and a review about experimental design. The workshop will also cover advanced topics of theory, data analysis and experimental setup and it will comprise practical computer exercises with SEDFIT and SEDPHAT.
