The Brazilian Biosciences National Laboratory (LNBio) announces the call for research proposals for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, for proteomic analysis.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All research proposals should go through in the SAU Online: https:sauonline.cnpem.br\/duo\/<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

You’ll need to register a new profile if it is your first time using this system. Please follow the instructions on the SAU Online platform. <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Important: The inclusion of students (masters, doctorate, etc.) in the proposals is encouraged. However, students cannot submit a proposal without a senior investigator as the principal investigator. If a doctoral student submits the proposal, it must contain a senior researcher, preferably the student\u00b4s advisor as the principal investigator. <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

After the submission of proposals for the use of the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, they will be evaluated by the External Committee. <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

SAU Online is also the interface for giving feedback on the infrastructure and services, as well as updating publications related to the research developed with the use of the LNBio Mass Spectrometry Laboratory. Updating the published results is mandatory since it is an important criterion for the proposal evaluation. It is worth highlighting the importance of updating the research curriculum at Lattes Platform 24 hours before submitting the proposals.<\/p>\n

About LNBio<\/p>\n


The Brazilian Biosciences National Laboratory (LNBio) dedicates to solving challenges and promoting development and innovation in areas of health and biotechnology. Structured in three divisions, the efforts of the Laboratory target demands that can benefit the public health system, developing new therapeutic options for treatment of diseases of public importance.<\/p>\n

The Discovery and Validation of Therapeutic Targets Division aims at the understanding of the mechanisms of different diseases; and detecting and testing possible molecular targets for the design of new therapies. It comprises studies on the molecular, cellular and physiological bases of cardiovascular, neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental diseases; cancer; viruses; and bacterial and parasitic diseases.<\/p>\n

Sophisticated techniques of gene editing, micro physiological systems, bioimaging and omics are used as approaches to the study of these diseases. Integration of these different methods is the responsibility of the Enabling Technologies Division, which mission is to improve and develop experimental methods, and techniques; to modernize and update the LNBio equipment park, and to encourage teams to developing new platforms and research methodologies.<\/p>\n

The efforts of the Laboratory focus on research that can benefit the public health system, developing new therapeutic options for treatment of human diseases. Whether via gene therapy, drug candidates or monoclonal antibodies. These are the main goals of the research programs that make up the Health Technologies Division: to act at the interface between scientific advances and the maturation of technologies aimed at deliveries that meet the demands of public health.

Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) is a private non-profit organization under the supervision of the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovations (MCTI). The Center operates the Brazilian Synchrotron Light (LNLS), Biosciences (LNBio), Biorenewables (LNBR) and Nanotechnology (LNNano) National Laboratories. From 2022, with the support from the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC), CNPEM expanded its activities creating Ilum School of Science, a full-time interdisciplinary undergraduate course free for students.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
