Its central mission is to meet the demands of research, development and innovation (RD&I) in health, translating basic science knowledge to strengthen the health economic and industrial complex and Brazil\u2019s public health system (Sistema \u00danico de Sa\u00fade, also known as SUS). The division plays a fundamental role in carrying out activities that foster transformation of basic scientific knowledge into technological solutions to benefit the Brazilian population.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Its main deliverables include generation of cell lines producing monoclonal antibodies, development of CRISPR-based platforms to treat genetic diseases, creating alternative models capable of testing biological systems in vitro, developing biodressings and developing proteomic methods to identify and validate molecular signatures with diagnostic and prognostic value for use in precision medicine.
