Currently, it offers academic users all the experience, structure, supplies and equipment for the complete production process using bacteria, from E. coli transformation to recombinant protein expression, purification and quality control. The user provides the expression vector containing the gene of interest and actively participates in all stages of the process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Protein Purification Laboratory (LPP) is equipped with FPLC <em>(Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography)<\/em> chromatographs and a variety of chromatographic columns, such as affinity, ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction and size exclusion, enabling recombinant protein purification processes with precision and reproducibility.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to executing purification protocols, users have the possibility to perform a variety of experiments, such as macromolecular complex formation analysis, oligomerization detection or sample clustering. The main objective is to provide quality proteins, in ideal quantity and purity for advanced studies, like enzymatic and interaction assays, medicine search, biophysical or structural characterization, whether by crystallography, electron cryomicroscopy or nuclear magnetic resonance. Furthermore, purified proteins can be applied in diagnostic assays and in immunization for antibody production, serving diverse research areas, such as structural biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, immunology and pharmacology..<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To aid highly complex projects, LPP offers full technical and scientific support. The team is qualified to assist in method optimization, column selection and buffer solution recommendations. Provides training on equipment usage and assistance in interpreting results, ensuring that users can achieve maximum quality and yield from their samples, overcoming experimental challenges.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The calls occur in a <strong>continuous flow<\/strong> and the process is straightforward: just fill out a form on<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sauonline.cnpem.br\/duo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> SAU online <\/a><\/strong>with information about the protein of interest, including data on suggested purification experiments. The LPP team evaluates proposals considering technical feasibility, demand and laboratory resources.
