Open Laboratories

LNBio open facilities serve academic and industrial users. The open laboratories allow the execution of high complexity experiments, which add value and quality to scientific research. Attendance to this external demand is coordinated by a body of experts consisting of 18 researchers and 13 technicians. The results of these experiments and their impact on the scientific environment can be seen at the users publications. Articles regarding tests conducted in the LNBio facilities. The Open Laboratories are: Crystallization of Macromolecules (ROBOLAB); Spectroscopy and Calorimetry (LEC), Mass Spectrometry (MAS), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), DNA Microarrays (LMA) and the Beamlines MX1 and MX2, this last one is part of LNLS, but  is operated by LNBio researchers. The submissions of research proposals for these facilities must be made at the User Portal. LNBio’s other facilities will soon be open to external users.
