Equipment and Available Technologies
There is a TCS SP8 Leica microscopy available at LBI. This confocal microscopy allows you to analyze in vivo or fixed biological samples through confocal scanning mode, tridimensional reconstruction, colocalization, time lapse, FRAP, FRET and spectral separation. This microscope is equipped with incubation chambers for controlling temperature and CO2 levels. You will find these laser wavelengths available: 405, 458, 476, 488, 496, 514, 561, 594 and 633nm.
Particularly, the focus of our research is the new genetically enconded tags to localize specifically proteins at light and electron microscopy to improve the understanding of cell biology at ultrastructural level using molecular tools. Although we have experience in imaging most of the cell culture lineages, primary cells, tissue sections and whole embryos.
